Recipes and Preferences: We store your generated recipes, ingredients, dietary preferences, and feedback in our database under your app user ID (including anonymous sessions). This data is used to power your recipe history across visits.

Usage Metrics: We store basic usage metrics linked to your app user ID (including anonymous sessions), such as the model used and approximate token usage. We use this to operate the service (for example: understand service costs, enforce plan limits, and prevent abuse).

Account Information (Optional): If you create an account, we store information needed to sign you in (for example, your email address and basic profile details provided by your login method).

Subscription Information (If You Upgrade): If you purchase a subscription, we store limited billing metadata such as your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and plan. We do not store full payment card details.

Support Messages: If you contact us, we will receive the information you include (such as your email address and message) so we can respond.

We use your information to:

• Generate recipes based on your inputs and preferences
• Save your recipe history for future reference
• Provide account features like sign-in and syncing across devices
• Provide subscription features (if you upgrade)
• Monitor usage, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, and understand service costs
• Respond to support requests and privacy inquiries

Database Storage: Your recipes, preferences, and usage metrics are stored in our database under your app user ID. You can delete your recipes and related data from within the app.

Third-Party Services: We use the following services to operate ngredient:

• OpenAI: Used to generate recipe content based on the inputs you provide. We only send the information needed to generate your recipe (for example: prompt, ingredients, preferences, and relevant recipe context).
• Stripe: Used for payment processing, subscription management, fraud prevention, and receipts. We do not store full payment card details; Stripe handles this directly.
• Authentication Providers: If you sign in using a third-party provider (such as Google or Apple), they may provide basic account information needed for authentication.

Note: We do not intentionally store IP addresses in our application database. However, third-party providers and infrastructure services may process IP addresses and device information for security, fraud prevention, and reliability.

• Recipes and preferences: Stored until you delete them in the app.
• Usage metrics: Retained for operational and accounting purposes, and to help enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
• Backups: Deleted data may persist in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
• Support messages: Retained as needed to respond and maintain a record of the request.

You have the right to:

• Access and export your recipe data from the app (where available)
• Delete your data at any time through the app
• Use the app without creating an account (anonymous mode)
• Contact us with privacy concerns
